AlphaReads (the "App") is a fiction reading platform operated by Murphco Of Florida, Inc., a United States company located in the United States. This policy describes the limited information collected during use, its purposes, protection, and your choices. By using the App, you accept these practices.

3. Age Restrictions

• The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
• For EU/UK users, the minimum age is 16, unless local law permits a lower age with parental consent.
• If we identify use by someone below the applicable age, associated personal data will be deleted within 72 hours, except where law requires retention.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Directly Provided Data

Ordinary reading does not require personal details. Information may be included in a message you voluntarily send to support@alphareadsbooks.net, such as a privacy question or technical report.

4.2 Automatically Collected Data

• Device Information: OS version, device model, IP address, app version, and limited diagnostic details.
• Usage Analytics: chapter completion, feature use, and crash logs through Google Analytics for Firebase.
• Cookies/Tracking: limited technical data may be used to maintain service reliability and understand general reading activity.

5. Legal Basis & Purposes of Processing

Depending on location, processing relies on service performance, legitimate interests, consent where required, or legal obligations. We use information to:

• Deliver Core Services: provide fiction content, preserve reading progress and preferences on the device, and maintain App functionality.
• Improve User Experience: review anonymized reading patterns, diagnose crashes, and improve content discovery and features.
• Prevent Abuse: identify suspicious activity, protect the App, and respond to security or technical incidents.

6. Data Sharing

• Essential Third Parties:
  • Cloud Storage: Amazon Web Services (AWS) stores App content and related technical data.
• Legal Compliance: information may be disclosed under a valid legal request, such as a court order, or to protect the App.
• Business Transfers: relevant data may transfer if AlphaReads is acquired or reorganized, with 30-day advance notice where required.

7. International Transfers

Data is stored in the United States. For EU/UK users, transfers use the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable.

8. Security Measures

• Encryption: AES-256 protects stored data, and TLS 1.2+ protects data in transit.
• Access Controls: role-based employee permissions and biannual security audits.
• Bug Bounty Program: vulnerabilities may be reported to support@alphareadsbooks.net.

9. User Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• Access/Export Data: request available reading history through Settings > Privacy > "Export My Data".
• Correct/Delete Data: email requests to support@alphareadsbooks.net; requests are processed within 14 days.
• Opt-Out of Analytics: use available privacy controls in your device settings.

You may also withdraw consent where applicable or contact a data-protection authority.

10. Data Retention

• Active Users: reading and technical data are retained while needed to provide the App.
• Inactive Use: locally stored reading data may be removed after 24 months without activity.
• Legal Records: information required by law is retained for the legally required period.

11. Policy Updates

Material changes, including new data practices, will be announced in-app or by email 30 days before taking effect when required or appropriate.
